Farmingdale State College
Farmingdale State College is part of the SUNY system and is located in East Farmingdale, NY. They offer a CCNE accredited BSN program, with a 3-year advanced standing option and an online RN to BSN program. The online program starts in the fall only, as well as the traditional 4-year track. The 3 year program starts in the spring. The program has a focus on ethics, culture, and aesthetics, as well the integration of information technology, self care, and critical thinking. Applicants to the online program must have a 3.0 GPA from their ADN coursework to be considered for admissions.
Farmingdale State College takes a student centered approach to nursing education, with a sensitivity toward the individual needs of each student and accommodates diverse learning styles. In a similar vein, undergraduate coursework also reflects the needs and trends of society-at-large, as well as region-specific needs.
